Spacing around window trim - Tile Advice

Hi all
I have some 12mm box trim to put around window edge. when tiling around it, do I tile up to it or leave a 3mm grout gap as I have done with all the other tiles. wasn't sure as its the first time I have had to tile in and around a window.

Always a grout gap or you won't be able to... grout it!

Same spacing as the grout gap for me. Some trim has a built in gap for grout.

Can I ask is it personal preference or is that how you should do it, as im getting different views..

As long as you can get some grout in, I don't space is 3mm, usually just a small gap, it's doesn't really matter

just one more question ... one side of the window is not square, around 1cm out top to bottom, do I just pack it out?

Tile the wall first and overhang the tiles where needed to make it square and plumb, then pack out the tiles in the reveal to suit

if tile joint was 3mm yes, with me more likely to be 2mm so would leave a 2mm space .
nice metros Andy 2mm joint on them ?
