got a job coming up where the stone floor has failed to a degree.
anyway i have to take up the existing limestone which was bedded in cement based si https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/.
when doing a test some of the https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ comes off anhydrite screed and some stays stuck to screed.
i think best way forward is to take all the cement element away and then apply thin coat anhylevel before fixing ditra with anhyfix and then limestone with setaflex as i normally would.
looking for a hire machine that is man enough to take off https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ bed where left on screed .
any ideas plse

What part of the country are you, I've found a guy in Bury that does floor prepping. Used him last year on 400m2 of Anhidrate in and out in a day dust free and a very reasonable rate as well.

I did exactly what you're thinking. We hired a floor grinder. One one like a floor polisher but with 3 grinding cups on the bottom. The previous tiler hadn't removed the latinence either so we needed one anyway. It did remove the old https://www.tilersforums.com/forums/tile-adhesive/ also but it can get a bit hairy at times on uneven surfaces. Those machines are really heavy so when they started bouncing slow down. Always factor in the cost of the grinder cups though as they often charge you by wear.
