I grant you, it is a bit sucky. But within the allowance of BSEN14411. 0.75mm per edge when the tolerance is 2mm. Might not look too bad when grouted but with 3mm spacer will push you up to nearly 5mm grout joints at the widest point.

On that basis, you could ask for a bit of discount for having to very slightly alter the intended design, but doubt you'll get very far, as they are still classed as first quality.

I could live with the wider gaps so yes I'd probably still pay that (as £32 is actually not that expensive for tiles these days), but if tighter joints was the intended design, I'd consider taking them back to ask for a different batch or a refund/alternative tile.

Do your tiles have arrows on the back of them?
I had some really wonky tiles a few weeks back and they had arrows on them that had to run in the same direction when laid. The spacing was still dodgy though!

That's a miss conception.

It's the direction they go through the kiln, that's all.

One lot of tiles convex edges one concave didn't matter which way they were facing still the same . Guess I'm lucky I don't deal with that tile chain very often

This really pi$$ me off how can the British standard for tile fixing be way more stringent then the standard of the tile manufacturers ?? I'd happily drop them tiles on whoevers fingers manufacturered them lol

In short, No.

Wouldn't pay €32 for them. For that money surely you can get a full bodied rectified tile.
