What do you use to create a polished edge on marble and travertine to match the face, sanding with wet and dry, then the final buff ? What's your procedure and tool?

Orbital sander, or slow speed polisher with pads to remove material. Then diamond pads with water to bring the polished surface back.

On the cheap if you don't want to get wet gear - try a variable speed grinder and a series of silcone carbide pads on a flexy backer. The results can be pretty good.

Yep as above,
Flex polisher with Sait pads or similar all the way to around #1000 wet.

I've been shown it done using grinder with rubber backing and sand paper on face to make smooth the cut and round any corners etc, make the profile. Then hand rub with 240 grit - 320 grit wet. Then final buff up with cloth wheel on a polisher and some sort of wax. Wondering if a cloth pad in the drill will do the same

Nice catalogue in the TSJ Alan:)

Thanks, we got such a good response from that publication last time we decided to try again. There seems to be a strong end user circulation for the TSJ as opposed to some of the other specialist mags that seem to go to specifiers and architects.

Paul (my business partner) does the catalogues and this kind of advertising. I'm the technical geek so I get the awkward questions to answer when the phone rings or the emails come in!
