Anybody used the riamonde levelling system,I have used the lash clip ones but it hurts your fingers after a while, thinking of going the painless way,or do I stick to doing it without either to keep the cost down as you can spend £30/£60 a standard size bathroom, for the clips

I tried them but found them far too slow, fiddly and expensive. I also saw no difference in quality with the end result as i always make sure my substrate is spot on before i do anything else

the Raimondi clips are good and do have some benefits and some draw backs ,i was using them alot last year but dont seem to use them that often partly because of the cost but mostly because you cant keep your work as clean while fixing

Thanks for the response guys,to what extent do you get the substrate on walls and floors spot on,if your tiling a job for a builder or plumber where you're tiling a bathroom and the walls have dips and bellies as such or a floor with the same,as I put my level on the wall to see where I'm going to need to put more adhesive.
from your responses you both seem to have gone back to where you were before you tried them, which is exactly what I'll be doing,as I also find it expensive and more time consuming having to clean off the dried adhesive,as it's easy to clean as you go with standard spacers, cheers Darren.

I've used the Raimondi a lot on larger format tiles. I've found it quicker using them as they also hold everything in place nicely. Yes, they are a bit messier around the clips but it only takes a few minutes of cleaning up before grouting.
