Hello,

I have just used the 365 drill bits for the first time on a job with very hard full bodied porcelain tiles and they worked superbly.

The hole sizes ranged from 8mm to 50mm in fixed and un-fixed tiles and every hole was spot on, even when cutting crescents from the edges of tiles. The 8mm bit has cut 24 holes now and it's still going strong!

The only problem I encountered (as others have experienced) is that the yellow guide plate wears after only a few holes. I ended up drilling a whole load of other 8mm holes in it and used them.

All in all a great product

Paul,

No worries

TBH one of the biggest problems with forums is that, unlike verbal communication, you can't read the recipiant's response to what you are saying. No doubt others may wonder why I might have taken offence. I didn't think it was meant in that way.

Having said that, Moderating and contributing to forums has taught me that with the best will in the world sometimes we all need to think laterally about how posts can be received.

Your disagreeing with my ideas was not the issue, as I indicated in my reply

........You and others may disagree with its validity, which is fine........

But, writing in your most recent post

Sorry once again that by disagreeing with your ideas, I inadvertently upset you.....

May not be warmly welcomed by some

I do value the factual content though.

So you were googling all by yourself and you were then bombarded, you want a new tool to help you and then a load of viagra appeared? sounds like your enjoying yourself anyway.

I think the key thing about these drills is the price. anything that shoves the price up (even to improve the design) will put these drills up against Bosch, DeWalt, Genesis etc. Then 365 lose their advantage (to me). I like that they are price pointed at a place where I can amortise or ‘lose’ separate drills or even a set on a job. Even if they wear out faster than competitors drills it doesn’t matter – they are effectively paid for. I love the flexibility offered by the £50 kit, I think the sizes are about right. I had some LED’s to fit last week that were about 2mm larger than the 365 core, but 30minutes extra with my diamond file and the job was done.

In my opinion every tiler and plumber should have one of these kits in their tool box.
