Hi , I've recently been in a job using 750x750 5mm porcelain tiles, they cut fine on the score and snap , but trying to Maxine cut is proving a nightmare ! I have a dewalt d24000 with a Montolit Dna blade , chips them , a Rubi tc180 also with same monti blade , chips them ! Grinder with monti blade , they all usually cut perfectly with minimal or no chips but these tiles are unbelievable! Not just chips but looks like my dogs chewed at it ! Problem is I've got three wet room trays to do with them ! Any tips on how to machine cut these without savaging them would be very much appreciated! Cheers

Only used thin porc a couple of times and they both cut fine with a dna and turbo porc blade. I believe a monti squadro blade is good for the thin stuff but wait for someone with more knowledge of them to advise.

I'm referring to grinder blades

Try holding a wet sponge on the back of the grinder blade as you cut, not damp, but wet.
I'm using a marcrist AkkuMax at the moment which works well wet.
Personally don't dry cut thin porcelain.

Try also resting the tile on a piece of carpet, or kerdi board - something to absorb the vibration from the blade.
It can make a real difference.
