Believe it or not, water falls to the floor when you shower

I could hold a long lecture on the merits of waterproofing, but I won't, as I'm a bit short for time atm. I'll say this though:

The floor and about 1 metre up on the walls, in a 1 metre radious from the shower fitting, are the most important surfaces to waterproof properly, as those are the areas which aree going to be exposed the most to water. Pay particular attention to a proper seal around the drain. I assume the floors are concrete, but know that concrete isn't (normally) a waterproof material. Damp concrete can weaken, and be attacked by mold. Damp can also infiltrate more sensitive areas through concrete. Need to go. Back later.

One customer got me to tank her shower room floor, the tile shop recommended it. Was happy to oblige.

Bisazza do a thin blade for the 4" angle grinder for glass mosaic, it is supposed not to chip them.

It really depends on the type of glass, and the size and thickness of the glass tiles. If your normal manual tile cutter doesn't explode them, just make sure to sand the edges a bit, as they tend to be nasty. Otherwise, I'd recommend a wet saw with a blade meant for glass.

Make sure to use white adhesive which is specifically meant for glass and other very dense materials. Gray adhesive can shine through in a less than pretty manner.

Thanks Dave,
these glass tiles aren't mosaics though, modular laid to a pattern,
In Co.Down.
I'll try to tile the glass wall first then cut the porcelain walls into it which will hide the edge cuts for me.

i found that the bigger glass tiles from original style cut easy on a rubi. its the one and two inch mosaics that shatter

Thanks wetdec,
23 bathroms in this hotel and there is enough tanking there for 160m2 ! Norcross have supplied to it,some nice gear but serious lack of proper adhesive,
i think i'll be recommending a big order for Mapei keraflex white.
there is mats supplied to with the tanking kits, full steam ahead on monday.
