Red face Priming and Tanking

Hi there

I may well be tanking for a customer what Id like to know is this. If I tank an area of the wall do I bother to prime it or can you not prime a tanked area (waterproofs it)? Is it a waste of time priming the tanking area?

There are a lot of different ways and types of tanking, some are membrane mats while others are painted on latex etc.

Normally, I don't think you need to prime, no.

The tanking itself is in effect a primer. No other pre adhesive coating is required!
