What kind of weight and thickness of tile can the schluter kerdi membrane take when applied to the walls ? I couldn't find this info from their website.

Hi carter mate.. i have had a good look at all my literature from schluter etc...and there is no mention of a weight as you say.....I have contacted schluter and will let you know as soon as i get an answer....will let you know when they get back to me......

I have had a phone call from schluter tecqhnical and when using kerdi on walls. the weight issues is just the same as the substrate you are tiling too..no weaker or stronger....and if you wish to tile onto it straight away then fix the kerdi with a rapid setting adhesive....

Thanks for taking the time too email them. I thought it was a bit unusual not to mention weights it could carry but seeking as it had a fleece backing I thought that it was the fleece that carried the weight, obiously not.

I thought it might actually make it stronger but they said just to treat it as normal....so at least we know......
