The thing is, Black mold (as far as I'm aware) is not an issue here. Perhaps our Plasterboard is constructed to a much higher spec.
I'll have a look out for MgO board. I'm sure it's not widely available here.

Not if it is made from gypsum.
Maybe the houses there breath better.
Here we have almost totally airtight houses made from OSB, stick frame, insulation, vapor barrier and plasterboard.
Maybe we have more spores floating around here as it is very invasive and is a huge problem in many houses in Canada, but some areas are really bad and others are not.
I got terribly ill from one job and we were wearing suits and dust masks and spraying strong disinfectant.
The carpenter who was also involved in demolition also got ill, but he took no precautions.
I got a better mask now.
Nasty stuff that mold is.
I try to avoid demolition if I can.
