Alternative to Impey. in the
Tanking & Wetrooms at TilersForums;
Anyone know of an alternative for Impey Tilesafe membrane? I.e Self Adhesive and 2-3mm thick.?
Or a fair priced stockist of Impey.
Thanks.... -

Re: Alternative to Impey.
hi matey,
Thats what I'd usually use however this Impey gear is real thin, and as its a repair job I need like for like or some other thin s/a membrane. The patch would be slightly higher than remaining existing floor if I use usual gear.
Getting quoted around £300 for a 5m2 kit of this Impey gear. Ive found something similar for a fraction of price but Im not sure about its quality? 'BSA membrane kit' ever come across it?

Re: Alternative to Impey.
Nah, nor me matey so Im a bit reluctant. Trying to save customer a few bob. The firm that built the house two years ago has gone bust, and the wetrooms failed. Noone to blame so has to fork for it himself. Impey its gonna be I think.
