    Default Opinions Please

Normaly use Wedi or Shluter products for wetrooms, but i am considering ordering this AKW Tuff Form 2 Wet Floor former 900 x 900mm - PHG Wetrooms for a job i am doing in the Hollidays.

    Anybody used it?

Opinions on the marmox backerboards etc vs Wedi also appreciated

Should also say the Marmox former above is being consider for height reasons, the joiner has absolutley went to town strengthing and leveling the floor joists etc and there is 200yr old ornamental plaster work below both rooms

The Tuff 2 is a solid former, it needs to be sitting on the joists and a few extra noggins would'nt go amiss either..it has screw holes to the edge of the tray for fixing.

I use a polymer tube gear, not silicone and run a bead on the joists and bed the tray on that to take up any fluctuation on the joists.
I use the Dural WP tanking on the tray with spf and scratch the tray with a course grit paper first.
