    Exclamation Plastering on Marmox?

I've boarded out my new wetroom with Marmox 20mm boards, but the missus is thinking about a change of plan.... to have some parts near the sink plastered, so is it possible to plaster on Marmox? Or do I have to replace the boards with traditional plasterboard/moisture resistant board.

    Cheers, Warwick.

Pretty much yeah and to break things up rather than have the whole room tiled, plus less tiles = less £s too

Loathed to rip off the board if it can be plastered over

Yes, pretty much, now she would like the top half of a couple of walls painted & less tiling = less £s for tiles.

Would like to avoid ripping out the Marmox and replacing if possible, so any ideas?

Thanks Dave, in a "regular" fashion like on plasterboard?

I stuck the board to the wall with plaster, and it's stuck well so a skim should be no different

    hi warwickgooch

as dave said, yes they can be skimmed but you should have used a single part felxible adhesive to stick them to the wall, not plaster!

prime the marmox boards with SBR or acryllic primer. wait till the primer is tacky, then skim away.
