Final tanking check
Hey all.. now all materials have arrived I am ready to buy the tanking, I just need to double confirm as unfortunately I have read so much info on here, im slughtly overwhelmed...
Im using a Showerstone tray and marmox boards for remainder of bathroom floor.
Can I just waterproof tape the joints and paint these with say mapei mapegum? as the boards are waterproof already?
The tape is self adhesive but should I paint mapegum, then lay tape then overpaint again?
other options for tanking...
should I do the above but paint the entire wet area includng the tray?
or should I do the above AND use a waterproof membrane?
after all this I want to lay UFH
sorry for being a worrier.. I just want to get this right first time!
thanks
Dave

Re: Final tanking check
From what I've read on the net, marmox claim the tray and boards are waterproof....
Never used Mapeigum, how sticky are the tapes for jointing or are they like a plasterers scrim..
