3 wize questions !
Hi , have 3 questions i should but dont no the correct answers to .
1 . how long after fixing stone tiles and grouting do you apply sealer ? just wondering about the grout being still wet !
2. any tips on mosaics and tile trims ? fitted a perfect mosaic job with a 4mm trowel, well untill i put the trim in the top of the tiles , kicked the top row of tiles out by around 3mm ? so i took the tiles off and used a 6mm trowel and trim still kicked the tiles out at the top and adhesive saturated the grout lines ?
3. do all porslain tiles need sealing ?

Re: 3 wize questions !
What stone is it...
The trim peice where the mosaic sits should be feathered out to stop the mosaic lipping out..
Polished porcelain.

Re: 3 wize questions !
I would normally leave all stones at least 24 hours before applying sealer.
I've got to be honest, I usually try to talk customers out of using trim with mosaics for the reason that you have identified.
You will need to seal polished porcelains and some "through bodied" matt porcelains.

Re: 3 wize questions !
Depends if it is a water based sealer then you can seal the same day. But a solvent based sealer i would leave the stoneand seal the next day.
