Default Replacing vinyl floor in wetroom

I would like to replace the existing vinyl floor in the wetroom with either a rubber tile or ceramic tile floor. I would need to remove the existing flooring as it is not entirely glued in some parts and to minimise floor thickness. After removing the vinyl, would I need to tank the floor again?

    Hi Cristina.

Do you know the construction of the floor? As in what is under the flooring at the moment.

If the vinyl joints were heat welded and fixed on the shower tray then you would have to tank when the vinyl comes up.

You will also need to check the drain, if vinyl has been installed then the drain might not be suitable for tiles..??
