Cool Newbie to Wetrooms, looking for a few tips please

    Hi,

I am about to install a wetroom into a utility room which has now got a concrete floor, the room is 1.6m W x 2.1m L, from what I have read I need a Showerlay 1200x900x20 former, along with Marmox backer board for the floor, I would like UFH around the area but again from what I have read the UFH is to be used in areas that dont have anything on top, like units etc.

I am confused when it comes to waterproofing, tanking etc,

Do I need to put Homelux waterproofing sheet on top of the boards, then UFH then tile? Do I need to use waterproofing on top of boards taking into account its a concrete floor?

    Thanks in advance

You dont have to use a tray, you could just screed the former yourself but that will depend on your ability. Are you a tiler or in the builing trade? You can buy screed formers to help with the levels.

Sorry I should have said, I am a diy'er, no experience with wet rooms or flowing screed etc.
