    Default How to remove and level an existing wet room floor?

    I am doing a bathroom installation but it is currently a wet room. Can anyone advise best way to remove floor and level for tiling and any further treatment required? Cheers

    Its a wooden floor. Haven't lifted the flooring yet to saw what the make up is underneath.

    Assuming its a GRP wetroom shower tray then you will need to cut around the board full depth to the joist with a diamond disc.

    Undo the waste system and prise out the tray. You will need to use a bar as there should be screws holding the tray to the joists.

    Once out cut a piece of ply the thickness you require and screw to the joists ensuring the ply is supported around its edges.

    If you need to build up then do this by adding shims below the ply or another sheet.

    Once done cover floor with Dura-CI and re-tile.
