paint for linear drain

Instructions on linear drain seem to suggest the stainless steel is painted with an iron minium? Any ideas. Is this red oxide? Also stainless steel aint easy to paint would this be ok???

is it a uk product as overseas have different names for paints

you can use red oxide on steel , degrease first with a rag soaked in white spirit, as you say stainless is not the easist of material to get paint to adhere to

bought from uk compnay but think its from eastern europe???? Just says Iron Minium but th epics show a red paint? Wanted to start before they open but probably wait and phone
