shower area need sealing after grouting?
coming to the end of my wetroom project. i've just finished grouting the mosaic shower area and walls with mapei ultracolour plus, just have the rest of the floor to be grouted.
do i need to seal the shower area with anything after grouting?
i bought Honed/Tumbled Travertine & Marble Protector from Topps Tiles. The guy told me it was to seal the mosaic but i thinking maybe its just for stain protection...
also is it suffice to seal the wall to floor/wall to wall joints with Unibond super bathroom sealant?

Re: shower area need sealing after grouting?
You do need to seal those tiles and the grout. Its not just for stain protection, it is to stop water ingression as well.
I would stick with LTP or lithofin products.

Re: shower area need sealing after grouting?
Its for all areas that have natural stone fitted. You need to seal before and after grouting.
Have a look at this link for your sealer.

Re: shower area need sealing after grouting?
it's only natural stone (mosaics) in the shower former area. the rest of the floor and walls are textured, stone effect ceramic tiles. do these need sealing too?

Re: shower area need sealing after grouting?
What colour grout did you use? Is the silicone the same colour? I havent used the Unibond stuff you have so cant comment on it, however i have used a similar product from then years ago and it was awful! If you have used a coloured grout you can get a colour matched silicone from Mapei too
