Discuss earthing wet room in the Tanking & Wetrooms at TilersForums; got loads of earthing wires from where my cast iron bath was ripped out. do i still need these? my former is obviously plastic but i have copper water pipes ...

    Default earthing wet room

    got loads of earthing wires from where my cast iron bath was ripped out. do i still need these? my former is obviously plastic but i have copper water pipes supplying the thermostatic mixer and shower head from behind the studwall. should i earth these?

    Hot and cold pipes need a bond and your rad if you have one H&C

    The bonding needs to go on any pipes that run seperately ok, say you have a cold running to the wc and its not a branch off the rest of the copper it needs its own strap.

    ok, cheers for the heads up. WC is T'ed off the cold shower pipe so i'll run the earth to the basin pipes and then round to the shower pipes.
