shower former slightly higher than floor
my tuff 2 tray has been screwed down and in most areas its pretty flush with the floor but on certain areas its approx 2mm higher than the floor. unfortunately there's nothing i can do now as it's all been plumbed in.
it hasn't affected the gradient though and water is still carried away properly. i'm just wondering if i can correct this when it comes to the tiling by maybe using a slightly bigger notched trowel on the floor area when applying the adhesive?

Re: shower former slightly higher than floor
You will be able to gain 2mm easy enough with the adhesive as you say..

Re: shower former slightly higher than floor
What is the substrate surrounding the tuff former?
Is it tanked?
What type of adhesive are you using?

If your on wood floor you will lose the 2mm easy when you lay your membrane. No stress it will be good

it's 12mm wbp plywood over 22mm chipboard. hopefully gonna tank sunday so will try and lose the 1-2mm with the adhesive.

I was kind of assuming you had already sorted the tanking...
Do as wetdecs says and use the 3mm membrane..this will make up height and easier to work down that up, if you see what i mean..
..
make sure you seal all joints
