Default help wetroom drain best way to tile round it?

hi can anyone give advice about tiling round a floor drain in a wetroom?
basicly the drain is like this.
    1. a white drain body " 10 inch " in diameter with a bottle trap underneath which connects to the waste.
    2. there is a sqaure metal grid which sits in a plastic cap. underneath the cap is a round lip which sits in the main body.

the main body has a lip which fits into the cap. but also around the lip there are little slits which look like the allow water to drain away, anything that dosent go down the grid.

my question is if i fit the cap (with the sqaure grid on it) to the main body and tile round it will the adhesive block the slits around the main body hole?
basicly do i just fit the grid and tile round it?
will i block the slits around the main drain hole with adhesive?

its not a pre formed tray. its just a plastic trap which is fitted into a plywood floor which has been tanked.

Last job I did was similar I think, The top half of the trap unscrewed and you put the tanking membrane or reinforcing mesh over this and tanked it up, then you cut a hole over the trap and rescrewed the top half of the trap, clamping the tanking membrane in between, there were gaps around the grid to allow any moisture under the tiles to drain away through the adhesive

yes the ply wood floor dose fall to the drain. tommyzoom yes the way you describe it sounds the same drain. it clamps to the tanking/ply wood and has a plastic cap that pulls off. there are slits around the main trap to allow moisture to drain away.

drain is water tight. would you just fit the grid, tile round it and try to keep the moisture holes clean?

I think even if the weep holes are covered in adhesive, it is designed to allow any residual moisture to seep through eventually,
