    Unhappy wetroom flooring

Hi all. I have been running my own company generally specializing in tiled bathrooms and wetrooms. Until now I have always used the preformed wetroom floors but now I wish to specialized in forming my own gradient floors and using vinyl covering. Does any one on these forums know of companies who cover this aspect of work, colleges, anything. I have spent ages on the net but everyone seems to use preformed flooring. Many thanks.

if its a concrete floor mate you can do your own other than that I wouldnt want to do it. I have heard previously that some people make there own trays by cutting out the floor and making the own trays from ply.

I believe that making shuttering from ply is common in the states. They would build a raised floor and put drainage etc in place, put in a membrane and then fill with sand cement mix and make slopes, if doing this method I guess you could just as easiy cut a recess into the floor aswell if the wa a big enough space below the floor.

Do some more research mate and wait to see if anyone else on the forum can give you a better answer. I believe there is a member from the United States who I imagine would know about the method I described.

you could use aquapanel for preformormed..but to be honest rather time consuming and if using saftey flooring "vinly" your former would have to meet, bc..i.e. weight/wheelchair accesss etc..
if concrtete just screed to grate again, bc would need to confirm so i would suggest meeting with local biulding control officer regarding spec.
