    Default wet room advice

    i have 3 large wet rooms to tile on a first floor.the floors are a sand and cement base over ufh.interior walls are greenboard and exterior walls are also sand and cement.do i need to tank the floors and if so whats the best product to use.was going to prime walls and use the liquid tanking on the walls.will that be sufficient enough.advice please.ty

    definitely need to tank the floor if it's a wetroom. I'm pretty sure BAL WP1 will cover all the substrates you mention and it's capable of handling 100 degrees C so should be ok for heating too. I've used that and the weber version in wetrooms and shower areas and would recommend it. make sure the joints between various surfaces are filled and taped up first.

    Ardex have a superb tanking system available, I use it in commercial shower situations that are used for at least 18 hours a day 7 days a week. It has never failed me yet.
