impey trays ? how to?

Hi Looking to install a Impey tray in a wetroom I usually use wedi boards but chose to try impey this time couple of questions,
Wet area 1850x900 the impey tray has two flat areas on the ends and sides do I cut these back or leave them on? you gain access to the tray from one os the 900mm ends so at the far end of the tray in the wet area it will be flat do I just bank the tiles slightly?
