sigma

Sigma (uppercase Σ, lowercase σ, lowercase in word-final position ς; Greek: σίγμα) is the eighteenth letter of the Greek alphabet. In the system of Greek numerals, it has a value of 200. In general mathematics, uppercase Σ is used as an operator for summation. When used at the end of a letter-case word (one that does not use all caps), the final form (ς) is used. In Ὀδυσσεύς (Odysseus), for example, the two lowercase sigmas (σ) in the center of the name are distinct from the word-final sigma (ς) at the end.

    Sigma 2G rocking

I found a sigma 2G cheap on eBay, "never used brand new tile cutter" £55, so bought it as thought it was a good price. After receiving it, it was clear it had been used, but more annoyingly, it rocks quite badly from side to side, surely this isn't normal? Spoke to the seller who said it...

    Sigma Not Measuring Correctly

Hard to word the title really, but essentially here is the issue.... The measuring bar on my new sigma is 'off centre'.....see photos... Basically if I put a 400mm tile on the cutter with 200mm to the left of 0 and 200mm to the right, when I score & snap, the left piece is 199mm whilst the...

    Sigma 3e3m

Back onto the job today & someone has moved my cutter, went to use it & the handle doesn't glide like it normally does, was sticking when I pushed or pulled it. Sprayed it with silicone spray, it's improved but still not the same, not sure if it's been damaged in any way. Not a happy camper...

    Which Sigmas To Buy

Ok, finally sorting out moving to Sigma from Rubi. I currently have two Rubi cutters- a TX900N and a TR400S. I want to replace both with similar Sigma cutters but I want the big cutter to score & cut at least 1225mm and the smaller cutter minimum score & cut of 600mm. I want push to score...

    Sigma 3e3m

I have just bought a nice new Sigma 3E3m, I love Sigmas but this one is not quite right. When you put the measuring bar into the machine and push the locating pin to set the bar for straight cuts it is about 3mm out of line over a 1200mm tile. I have to get the square out of the van to set the...
