Take a look through the stonetools website, you may find something in there.
Good luck,

The company i'm subbing to lately gave me 4 boxes of polishing pads to use, happy days.
I bought a new makita variable speed polisher from stonetools lately, they do sell pads too.
I found them top notch to deal with.

what pads where they? as in company name, ive for yrs used hermees, never used any others , i get on well with these but as ive never used any others i actually have nothing to compare them with!

I'll check tomorrow but i'v been using them and they're very good for sure.
I'v been polishing marble galore for weeks now.

is grinder vari speed ? If no, the forget it, polishing can only be done at slow speeds
sounds like heaven i love it! are they wet or dry pads? dry is more suitable normally for me, cheers for replying and i look forward to hearing what they are tommorrow, thanks again, chas.

All dry i use.
I'm currently fitting a marble staircase and i'v been changing angles galore so even the polisher is in action.
I even bought a new profiling bit from stonetools lately.

i was looking at the profiling bits earlier, be ideal for staicase, ive been tiling aload of granite bathrooms in chelsea, london, been stuggling with the polishing with one of the tiles, extreme shine on them, need to do the external edges, 1500 grit wont quite do it

The boxes I got are Hermes for sure.
Good pads for sure, Iv used a few makes but pay no attention to names. Lol.
With that granite you need a real fine disc for sure.

With most granite you need to go up to 3000 and final buff. I am just not sure what pads are available in the UK. The best granite polishing pads here in the US are EMS New Technology pads but they are only good for wet-to-dry use when top polishing. They run a bit too hot on an edge and will pop the crystals of the granite. From my experience all dry pads on granite are worthless.
