Has anybody fitted any Quartzite white wall tiles/ ledge stones or have any photos of these fitted. I can only find photos of them cut or stacked in some remote chinese quarry!!!

Re: Quartzite white wall tiles ......help please
Yes Dave, I think some quarries call it the snow white/super white/statuario ledge wall stone/stack stone/ cladding panel. The type that has the dramatic shadow effect when up (or down) lit
I can only find very limited info on these despite hours of searching

Re: Quartzite white wall tiles ......help please
Never fixed them but i do know you don't grout ffs.
Honestly though.. stagger the fixing on alternative rows and keep it clean.. the ones i have seem are flat'ish backed.. so use a suitable depth trowel to suit thickness..

Re: Quartzite white wall tiles ......help please
Yes, I have heard of a few people who have tried grouting them
The sample I have seen is very good quality, and the individual fingers seem to be resin bonded to form a 600x200 slab (weighs a tonne!!!). The back seemed very flat too. Im interested in getting as much info as possible and images to show client

Re: Quartzite white wall tiles ......help please
Depending on the style you may need tile wedges to try and space evenly . try to keep adh to a minimum so as not to squeeze out between fingers

Re: Quartzite white wall tiles ......help please
Might be worth using a C2 adh as well depends on the amount of resin on the back

Very little resin Jay, just a tiny bit of resin squeezing out of each joint of finger.
Was thinking of the old faithful Mapei Kerquick (with Latex plus) to achieve C2FT (S2)
I will be putting marmox on walls for strength. The weight of the slabs alone is the weight of an average family car
