Pva
I'm now in Spain doing 'a bit of this' and a 'bit of that', DIY mainly in our new home near Alicante. On a few occasions I have wished for some PVA to assist in various stuations. Problem is no one here seems to know what I am on about, I have tried all the usuals like Brico Depot, Leroy Merlins etc, but sadly to no avail.
Can anyone please help or advise on where I can go to get it or is there a Spanish equivalent maybe.
Note... I do not need the PVA for Tiling jobs. I had to Bond a new top screed to a sub floor and made up a 'slurry' using PVA, 1 sand, 1 cement to apply just before the concrete. My 5 litre bottle I brought from the UK from Screwfix is virtually gone. I'm trying to top my supply.
Thanks all

Re: Pva
What is it you want the PVA for Winkle? As Sir Ramic says it's not suitable in tiling situations, have you asked about SBR?

Re: Pva
winkle you nead to swop from the PVA--to SBR mate it's a lot better for screeding with
as well, you can buy it on line and have it sent to you i think

Re: Pva
He did say its NOT for tiling.
I have a mate who used to take his out to Spain from the UK as he couldnt find it either. Easyjet wont let him take it now incase it leaks.
Dont they just have a large tub of wood glue?

you still have the same problems pva will come back to liquid if it becomes wet that's why its no good for tiling same prob with rendering if it gets damp it will debond (go drummy)

Re: Pva
Lucius, I have read that Spain's economy has some big problems. I didn't know you've been back in the UK so long. Hope to see you around here more.

Re: Pva
I live in Tenerife and get the Spanish take on pva. Ask for kampac-tuna.
Spelling may be wrong.
When I was first told of this product, I thought, A TIN OF FISH.
