I'm moving to Spain in a few weeks and want to lay a tiled patio. I've done tiling in England, indoors, and just wanted to know what kind of base i need for outside Patios in Spain. And what to use and how to lay.
    Thanks

Thanks, but i don't have the money to get someone in, just wanted to know what sort of base i need to put down to lay the tiles on.
I guess its concrete, but is it sharp sand or ballast and what sort of finish would you put on it.
    Cheers Lee

    alright lee,
Dont know what part your in but ive tiled on top of a picon base, you do however need to compact this first and then yeah its concrete with a plastisicer. You can get another very cheap material which you mix into your base to give it more bulk and save on costs I cant for the life of me remember what its called but I will find out.
