As you you we do a fair amount of Victorian Restoration - Now here a challenge. Do any of you know of any tile sets that are single tiles with very small mosaic patterns on them. Some borders and some single rectangles. I've two jobs on hold until I can find some. These are not std Victorian Tiles - A couple of photos for you - If any one has any, or are about to lift some old ones we will pay cash if undamaged and useable.
Theirs bound to be a couple of guys on here still got new ones on their horse and cart, come on old gits dust down the monocles and help Richard out. On the other hand maybe you should have posted this in morse code, ..-----.....------...--.-.-...---.-.-.-....----.-.-.-.-.-----.-....---.-.-.-.----.-.------..---.-.-----.-.----.,thats it now mate you'll have some shortly
Thanks Graeme. I'm not sure I share your confidence .
The best hope I have is if a pro-tiler has been asked to lay on-top (tiles I'm referring to here.!) of these old and sometimes knacked old floors or is being asked to replace it with something else.
As for the horse and cart, my old nag is still ok, needs a service and MOT. Doesn't need hay or nuts, just plently of make-up although the wardrobe budget is bit heavy.! - Is dinner ready love - I'm starving.?
[QUOTE=Bolter;310539]100% agreed, Timeless John would know where to start. Whether he tells you is another thing entirely
Richard - I received your PM this evening and to Quote Bolter - I would tell you if I knew of any of these tiles!
However we do make up similar border designs 'rope' etc but they are normally for 'new' work. If you have no luck with replacements and feel that a mosaic would blend we can discuss this further.
I plan to wait and see if any turn up - If not I will contact you outside of this Forum to see if we can make up some mosaic sections to match / compliment the orginals.
