I'm fitting a new bathroom and am currently re-tiling. As I get to where the bath is going to be, should I continue below the level of the rim and then fit the bath against the tiles, or fit the bath against the wall and then tile down to it? I think the first would look neater but is more likely to leak everywhere if the sealant fails.

hello mate, fit your bath and seal to the wall with a good silicone then tile down to the bath and after it's all grouted and dry dust it down with a clean cloth and run a thin bead of silicone from the bath to the tiles get hold of a little spray bottle and fill it with water and a little drop of washing up liquid, spray over the silicone and wipe off surplus the spray will stop the silicone sticking where you don't want it and it will look neat and tidy. all the best Mike
