Question Open Question: mouldy grout in bathroom tiles?

i have mould or some kind of gross stuff in my grout in my bathroom tiles. we had a problem with the bathroom and the landlord had to re paint it and put a new extracter fan in. it was ok for about a week, now its back and nothing i do makes it go. i cleaned the grout, used sugarsoap stuff and even used grout reviver. It is black and on the actual tiles is orangey stains and i can't work out where its coming from. we are moving out in 2 weeks, will the landlord expect me to clean it before i leave?

Mould is one of the most unsightly problems, which usually starts off in the wettest area of the room, this could be the bottom of the shower or bath, then starts to spread and if left unchecked could cover a large area of the wall.
Discolouration of grout joints in bath or shower areas due to continued use of acid formulated shampoos and soaps. This causes yellow orange and pink stains to the grout over even a short period of time.
This can be over come with grout sealers.. but seen as you are moving shortly then just clean the joints with a solution of water and white vinegar....do this just before you move and then it wont reappear till you are gone...
Regular cleaning of tiles and joints will prevent mould growth and so will ventilation be it from a fan or open widow when using showers etc....
