i moved in two years ago and put lining paper over rough walls and painted it white. Being honest, it turned out to be a disaser. i would like to tile the kitchen and make it alot tidier. Instead of me scraping the lining paper off, is it possible to tile on lining paper?

No, sorry you can't do that. The paper needs stripping off, so the adhesive can go straight onto the walls.

the only paper you can tile on is the Victorian lincrusta...but that is made from putty not paper...lol

sticking tile to paper is bad enough, but the fact that the paper is covering a load of dodgy plaster is guaranteed to turn your wall tiles into floor tiles. (covered with a load of dodgy plaster & paper of course), get my drift.
