I've had a new bathroom built but we couldn't get hold of the floor tiles before the job was 'finished'. The WC and sink are installed but they are sitting on a piece of plasterboard to get them more or less at the right height. Now we're ready to do the tiling, is it an option to get a willing helper to just lift the WC and sink up a bit whilst the tiles underneath are laid and then lower them onto the tiles (maybe put some spacers underneath the tiles) or do I need to disconnect and remove them and then put them back a day or so later? If anyone feels that the most appropriate answer is 'disconnect and remove - do the job properly and stop being lazy' I won't be upset, I just wanted to check there wasn't an acceptable short cut!
