Sometimes when going to use my sigma cutters the handle doesn't run smoothly and on removing it is find there is a black scale build up on the inside of handle . Questions.
Is their something I should be doing to prevent this happening . ( I do spray the bar with silicone spray to clean it but then wipe clean before using it again )
Secondly if this is inevitable what is best way of removing it .
Pardon my ignorance only moved over from the darkside a year ago so am newish to sigma .
Thanks in advance for any help offered

I Only use wd40 on mine. If some muppet manages to get sawdust everywhere, it can clog up but a blast with a hose and then more wd40 sorts it out.

I Think it's just rubi you can't use solvent on.
Maybe they melt or something?!

I'm same, dub dee on the bar and wipe with a cloth. Remove the handle spray inside and shove some blue roll through it or a cloth to clean and dry it. Biggest issue I had was a burr of metal on the rail which I had to sand off which took some coating off.
