Hello spanishtiler, thanks for your message, been looking round for a TS60 rubi but find very expensive, between 200 and 270 euros. My TS30 and TS50 are just about shot and need to add to my rubi cutting machine. I find the techniques in spain are somewhat different to the uk but im coping quite well with the system here, quite adaptable to picking things up quite quickly. Theres no way of getting round the heat here especially working outside, the climate really drains strength and difficult to work a full day in this sort of aclimate, I usually work around 7 hrs a day but not spanish hours, but cope quite well. I worked and lived in Belgium for 17 years, climate no problem, lots of work mainly apartment blocks and private villas. Techniques are different there as to what they are in spain for fixing, floor tiling was always fixed with sand and cement to the line and wall tiling more or less the same as here in spain but as opposed to spacer pegs, I use a line 2mm thick and lay it on the tiles and place one tile onto the line that forms the joint, and as cola dries, take the line out and its formed a joint and is clear for grouting, quite simple but a lot easier than pegs which I never use. Thanks again for your tips.

Hi spanishtiler, my name is ray and I've lived in the costa blanca, south of alicante for the last six years and have been self employed tiling for all of that time. Love the country and people, could use some tips especially info on obtaining various tools of the trade, ie, washboys and sponges here in spain rather than ordering them from uk. Great website, only just found it. look forward to hearing from you, hasta luego
