    Sealing plasterboard/moisture resistant board

As long as the pb isn't skimmed it will hold most tiles except for possibly 10mm porc and above or natural stone

    Depth of floor tile adhesive.

    At least 10mm notch.also backbutter the tile.I would allow 4-5 mm👍

Your right about the moisture being pushed into the walls if you totally tank or waterproof the floor.Personally I would contact a tile manufacturer and ask they're opinion.i know that bal's flexbone membrane allows for moisture release but not sure if it would be suitable for this purpose

    Decoupler Mat Required?

Agree with Gaz,also if both floor areas join you will need an expansion joint where they meet

    Sealing plasterboard/moisture resistant board

I don't install panelling but if I was going to I would probably give a few coats of 1 SBR/ 4 water on the boards first

    Shower screen

As philipio says the screen needs to sit on the tiles ideally.any water ingress behind the screen channel will damage the area behind.

    Tiling onto plaster board?

Nothing wrong with tiling direct to pb unless the tiles or stone weigh over 32 kg a m2(this includes for Addy +grout). Deffo tank any wet areas first to make sure water can't absorb into the pb

    Tile cutting....

If you have a grinder with good blade why don't you try scoring the tile with the cutter then carefully grind the edge ?finish off by using a diamond polishing block( 200 grit roughly)
