Ideally you could do with just spending a day opening a trade account at all the common usual tile suppliers, then use their websites to find the nearest store to where you're going, and order over the phone so it's there to pick up on the way. You'll save quite a bit in delivery and you tend to find their store trade accounts are separate to their online ones so will factor that in the pricing (meaning it's usually still cheaper in store).

Well Liz its an outdoor pool and the whether has turned inclement ,the tile adhesive is water based need i say more . i don't offer a tenting service lol ( dirty mind of mine lol ) as it would mean carrying tons of stuff and it would need to be the right size to fit the specific pool , its best left to the main contractor as it usually take a day to put-up .i would say:thumbsup:

Yeah the notification wouldn't have been available for the old ones as the system had thought it had sent the PM's (and you got the notifications) back when the person sent them. The problem was to do with the receiving them (and therefore the notifications too). Sorry for any inconvenience. I'd take a bit of a much needed break over easter. Need to do it more often to refresh a bit!

Don't you offer a tenting service then Dave? How does not having the pools covered delay the work you do then? How much extra gear would you need to carry to be able to offer a tenting service as part of your business' services?

Today drove all the way to glostershire to find the outdoor pool un-coverd :incazzato::incazzato::incazzato: after being told several times it had a tent -over :incazzato: Why do people lie like this ? i have never really understood , so we came away ,and the guy is covering it up today supposedly !! ,so i have asked for a picture to be sent to my phone ,as he may just bodge this -up as well , then we will waste another day :incazzato:. I think i may be one of them guys you hear about, who go's to work then shoots everyone one day soon   a subbies life is NOT an easy-one .

Ignore my last post. I've just re-read your thread and realised you'd already removed the panel.

Toby Why does the customer want to take out the glass panel from above the door? My in-laws live in a 1930's 3 bed terraced house in Essex and all of their bedroom doors have these glass panels over the head of the doors. Downstairs they're all decorative panelled above each door. I suspect the glass above was for additional light purposes back in the old days when electricity/lighting wasn't very good, but I'd be loathed to remove such original features unless they've been removed elsewhere around the house. Can't you persuade them to keep the panels? Whether they be glass or a decorative insert? Would save you a load of work trying to put in a new frame. grr

Hi Alan, When the PM system wasn't working, they weren't lost, they just weren't sending correctly. When I'd fixed it, they sent. But that was about a week and a half ago. So you've probably just been super busy since then which is a good thing!

I would do a test patch with fila deterdek to remove the calcium deposits then just treat it as a standard terracotta refurb so strip back the old polish and waxes dry it out then reseal and rewax it nice one for the portfolio there Daz
