I always click on new posts when I come on here, read the thread and If not replying I used to just hit the Back button on the browser and it went straight back to the new posts page.
A week or so back, the first click of the back button just blanked the adverts in thread messages, then I had to click a second time to get back to the previous page, but now I have to click 3 times from one thread to get the page to actually move back one step back to the new posts list.
Any ideas why this is happening. | IM WITH U M8

| The ads in a page use a form of frame that is classed as a click. So when you view a page it actually loads the page then the individual ads (to save speed as the ads are not always as quick as the forum). So when you click the back button you're first removing the ads, and then it goes back. Now there are two ads within a topic and not one ad and one ad in the menu bar (which wasn't classed as a click). So now you're clicking thrice and not twice to go back that way.
May I suggest clicking new posts again at the top of a page which will re-load any newer posts too - as clicking the back button shows you the new posts you've already seen. | Dan |

| Any chance of getting a "new posts" link down the bottom of each thread page, saves having to scroll back up the top!

Grumpy | How's that mate? You should see " Today's Posts:" on the left at the bottom of a topic.

I just switched my forum theme to the standard one and tested this in Internet Explorer 7 and was fully able to click the back button, both in the IE browser and on my mouse (5 button jobby) with no problems at all - needing only 1 click to move one page both to and from forum topics to foum listing pages to the homepage and the search page etc.
What version IE's are you running? | Dan
