| Tilers Forums .co.uk Testimonials | | You know lads, I subscribe to a few forums and I want to say, well done to you for your replies and the simple, straight to the point advice. The 'other' forums I subscribe to are littered with Premadonnas wanting to telling you everything from how you're doing it all wrong to giving you lectures on your B****y spelling and grammer!!!
Also, nice to see Mods in the North East as well. I'm in Whitley Bay mesel like.
----
Mind you, it's no wonder they correct my spelling..... its Prima Donna not Premadonna!!!!!!!!!!! | |

| Re: Tilers Forums .co.uk Testimonials | | I went self-employed only 6 weeks ago, although I hasten to add I've a lot more than 6 weeks experience!
I registered with findtrustedtradesmen.co.uk and I got my first two jobs within the week. From those two I got another 2 by referral! (Much better value than Yell!!!)
I've also found the forum to be a great source of help and support both at a basic and technical level, thanks to the guys on here who are willing to share their years and years of experience, so that we (hopefully) don't have to learn the painful way.
LUV IT! | | |

| Re: Tilers Forums .co.uk Testimonials | | Great site very usefull even after 20 yrs in the trade i dont know it all close but not all what i dont like is the promotion of 4 week tiling coarses how can you learn to tile to a high standard in 4 weeks shame theres not a gouverning body that controls the quailty of peoples work i have lost count over the yrs of how many jobs i have been asked to put right by cowboy tilers thank fully a local uni by me is now running longer coarses for people to learn from remember people pay alot of money for there tiles /stone and then to have them screwed up but weekend bodgers i personally think the advertising of these companys should be stopped that way the only way to really learn is by doing a a few yrs with a already skilled tiler and have someone monitor the quality other than my moan site is good keep it up | | |

| Re: Tilers Forums .co.uk Testimonials | | Hey up - not sure if I should be adding to this, or should be creating a new thread but - - -
I have been a member of this site for less than a week - joined purely on the off chance, the one-in-a-million kinda chance , that someone, somewhere, would manage to find some tiles - tiles that I had bought 4 years ago so would be long 'out of print'.
Let me tell you that the guys on this forum have been brilliant - all of them, but I have to praise one guy a little more than the rest. He has made numerous phone calls on my behalf, badgered manager after manager - and found me some - even arranging delivery to a more local branch. I ain't gonna mention his name, as it will probably embarrass him but Gaz@Topps, you know who you are .
I really really can't thank you enough, mate, and what ever Topps are paying you, ain't enough | | |
