TilersForums.co.uk is a website ran by tilers, for tilers.

Since April 2009 we've held a Monthly competition in the TilersForums Arms (our access only 'pub') [how to gain access to the TilersForums Arms] which allows the professional tilers to upload photo's of their work best job for that Month.

Throughout the Month we receive many submissions, and at the end of the Month we allow all the professional tilers to vote on the tiling job that they think is the better one.

Quality of work is the key, so winners have won by submitting small jobs using standard tiles which has been tiled to a perfect high standard, when in the same Month jobs have been submitted that have used very high spec tiles and related products, but perhaps haven't been completed to such a crisp clean standard. So please don't assume you can't add some work yourself just because you haven't tiled a wet-room which houses a Television and automatic lighting using high-spec 'glitter-granite' with Mapei grout. 6x6 whites in a kitchen would be fine, providing the setting out and tiling itself is perfect. And more to the point, you take lots of photo's to show that!

What Will I Win? ... we hear you ask

Well, we do it for respect. We've made this new area of the forum to enable us to announce to the public who's won each month. We'll also post the news on the Tile News website, and we'll do our best to get the winner announced in the official UK Tile Magazine, Tile UK.


That said we've had a winner be given a week in Egypt, though we'd like to claim we offered that, it was actually another member that had it available for a week and wanted to help the forum members out (which just goes to show how our tilers get on with each other). Every other week we've been glad to report that our sponsors have offered a thing or two to the winner. Some of the prizes have been:-

All you need to do is upload some photo's of your best work that Month, it doesn't matter how big or small the job, or what was used on the job, as it's the other professional tilers who have access to 'The Arms' that vote for you, and they take everything into account before they vote.

We would love for you to pass the message onto your tiler, or your fellow tilers, and we will do everything we can to shout about how 'you' won over and above all the other entries for 'that' Month.
