The prize for this month is a GOODIE bag from Mapei uk....
And we also have this month ...
After seeing so many people putting up their work for JOTM I thought I'd give it a go myself. Just finished a project in London working with some very nice materials. A lot of imported marble, tonnes of mosaics and a great deal of prep work! Can not recommend prepping up enough!
In total there were 4 bathrooms and a oak floor entrance with marble insets. As I cant put forward all of them (or can i) I have chosen photos to one of my favourite bathrooms.
Floor had to be brought up about 2 inches to meet the wooden floors on either entrances as well as fitting the UFH throughout. Hope you like the final finish as much as I do. It was one great big jigsaw puzzle and a load of fun.
This is my first entry for JOTM, hope it is half way worthy seen some tremendous work posted here.
I supplied everything in the room, the tradesmen & ran the job, total turnaround 6 days the tilling taking most the time with the profiled facings & Cills.
The prep was done by me, Wedi tanking etc, addy Weber rapid spf, Grout bal superflex Ivory, Mastic Mapei A.C.,
Sealer Hagesan Marble Impregnator, Filler was Jolly. Bathroom suite is from Phoenix
Posted link to album as there is a lot of photos of every stage of the build, the original floor was done by me 5 years ago.
Heres a Trav job,110m in total, slightly unusual as the client wanted it grouted in grey grout!!! A bit of an "oh crikey" moment when I started grouting, but it turned out ok,. They also wanted brown mosaics in the shower floor, but I persuaded them to allow me to envelope it as it is much neater and makes the floor seem bigger, Not bad at 45 degrees too
There must be over 100kg of grout used here iirc
BY THE TIME YOU ARE OLD ENOUGH TO REALISE YOUR PARENTS WERE RIGHT...........
YOU HAVE YOUR OWN CHILDREN TELLING YOU THAT YOU ARE WRONG......................
