Well back today after a couple of days off sick, and to gentle ease my way back in I'll enter this small kitchen/understair floor i did today. Tiles were really nice, each one slightly different from the next.

And after the success of getting 2 votes last month, Im spurred on for this month

As you can see the builder kindly fitted all skirting, arcitraves and went to the trouble of glossing everything for me the joys of site work!

Just to say.. Mapei continue to support tilers forums and will still offer members the goodie bags..

If a winner of JOTM does not receive the goodie bag then please contact Admin and then we can send a reminder , rather than setting threads away complaining.. Kudos from your fellow members is what gives a winner pride and the goodie bag is a bonus.. so please do just contact us direct and then we can sort it asap for you ..

I hope this is satisfactory to ALL members within this allowed area.

Good to hear, and thanks to all the sponsors and members who put forward prizes for JOTM......... Just out of curiosity, what do you get in a goody bag from Mapei, or do I have to win one to find out?

job was a pleasure to do and a challenge for me on the plumbing side with an i-lux running through 2 diverters to feed the bath aqua filler, handset and shower over head douche

and a late request for a niche in the shower !

hope you like it. kev, me and the client did

Ok, so thats me done until the new year, this is what I've been up to for the last week or so. 20mm thick limestone, 500mm wide and random lengths ranging from 250mm to 1000mm. The stone is local and the customer told me that he went to watch some of it being cut. I have included alot of detail photos as there was a sandstone wall running down one side of the building that needed scribing to, the customer didn't want the architraves cutting either so had to cut round all those( bless the makita grinder!). There are also a couple of random tiles that the lady of the house wanted putting in as feature tiles and 3 steps had to be created. There are 4 areas, hallway, dining area, WC and passage to living area.

I did have a labourer too! The 1000 x 500 tiles were a 2 man job to lift in, weighed about 30kg each! Back breaker!

BAL superflex wide limestone, yeah still drying in places! The tiles were 20mm thick so quite alot to dry out, should have taken the photos in a couple of days really but I've got some christmas drinking to do!

BAL rapid flexible, levelled the floor a week or so earlier, so had a good surface. The stone was very well calibrated, very consistent thickness.
