Default How does my son find work?

My son has recently qualified in wall and floor tiling, NVQ level 2 and is seeking work. He is very good at wall and floor tiling, I have seen his work and he will do a good job, the only trouble is he can't find work... Can anyone make any decent suggestions on how he could get started? Anyone in the Berkshire area who needs an apprentice? He has his own transport and tools and is prepared to work very hard. Will put his hand to any work...

    Many thanks for looking.

Tell him to keep checking the job centre website, there's a regular stream of tiling jobs that get advertised on there, a lot of agencies advertise on there too

I advise that he signs up on here. He will learn loads from historic and current threads and he is likely to find tilers local to him, that with some friendly networking could help him get started in the trade .

Get off his backside...go to building sites, ring local plumbers, builders merchants give cards out etc. The same as we all had to do when we first started. There is no quick way!
