Same grout, not the same shade!
Used some Homebase ready mixed adhesive/grout, and the grout on the floor has come out light grey where the walls have turned out like a dark brown (same colour as it looks in the tub).
It was out of the same tub so I cant see why its not the same shade.
Any ideas chaps?
Cheers,
Alan

Re: Same grout, not the same shade!
More water used on the floor....over watered when cleaning off can affect the colour.

If they were ceramic tiles on the floor could be the biscuit was more absorbant then the wall tiles...just a guess though.

Ready mix adhesive/ grout not good. Adhesive is adhesive, grout, is grout. Sorry.

different substrates can also affect the curing effects of grout colour, but tbh, ready mixed grout I know nothing about as I've never used it.

Re: Same grout, not the same shade!
Not that i condone using this product.. but as above.. over wetting when washing off can cause polymer leaching and this can leave the grout looking lighter..
