help - porelain floor tile repair
Hope someone can help please...
After a dishwasher flood in our open plan kitchen/dining area we had to replace a section of the porcelain tiled floor we layed 7 years ago. We've used up all our spare tiles and they are no longer available but we now have further a further cracked tile in a nearby area.
Is there any way we can repair the fairly large crack in the 45x45 tile?
Or would it be possible to remove one from a less prominent position (such as under the fridge) and use it to replace the broken one?
Also if the cracking is due to the underlying wooden floor not being level now, how can we repair this without damaging further tiles?

If you can remove a tile without it breaking that would'nt be a good sign...
What WOOD are the tiles laid on ply etc..

Surely an insurance claim would have resulted in a new floor, not just a section? Or did you not go through insurance.
In any case, cracked porcelain can't be repaired once fixed to the floor (it's amazing what I can do with Mitre-fix though!)

very much doubt that you'll get a tile up intact.
