i was talking to some one about tiling my floor and they said id maybe need a 2 part adhesive. what is it compared to 1 part, is it adding an addmixture?

It is if a 2 part... but you can not get a single part S2 adhesive with highly a deformable rating.

the more flexible adhesives are usually 2 part, (powder and liquid) but as dave says some single part (just add water) have a lot of flex too.
